What the Bible says about homosexuality.

You may have heard that homosexuality is condemned in the Bible.

But do you realize just how many times it is condemned? And do you realize how serious is the severity and scope of the condemnation? Maybe you are one who does not even care – this is specifically addressed in the Bible also.

I write this because I want to be counted by God as someone who at least tried to educate and caution about the subject to the hoards of people who are affected.

There are literally hundreds of scriptures that strongly condemn homosexuality. I refer you to the following link which lists 100 relevant passages.

Homosexuality is severely condemned for both female and male humans.
The homosexual will not inherit the kingdom of God and will be condemned to eternal hell:
Jude 1:7 “Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.”

Are you the one who does not even care? Then you may have been given up by God, to what is called a debased mind, and you may be the person to whom the Bible refers in the following passage: Romans 1:26-28 “For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.”

But there is good news! The Bible also clearly teaches that anyone who repents and calls on the name of the Lord (Jesus) and asks for forgiveness will be saved. Anyone includes homosexuals and sinners of all types. And that sums up the good news. Additional relevant scriptures:

Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
